The Siberian Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia - the Basic training organization of the CSTO member States held the XXV international scientific-practical conference "Actual problems of the fight against crime: issues of theory a 09.04.2022

The anniversary forum was attended by representatives of more than 30 cities in Russia, as well as international partners from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Mongolia, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Nicaragua, and the CSTO Secretariat.

During two days, on April 7-8, 2022, scientists and practitioners discussed topical problems, exchanged experiences, and searched for ways to solve acute problems of combating crime.

The forum included an international scientific-practical seminar "Countering Drug Threats at the Modern Stage: Legal and Socio-Humanitarian Aspects" and an all-Russian seminar "Operational and Investigative Response to Drug Crimes".

This annual discussion platform traditionally enjoys popularity among representatives of educational organizations, practical bodies, and public associations. The organizing committee of the scientific forum received more than 350 talking points of reports from scientists and employees of law enforcement agencies, educational organizations of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, law schools of Russia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Mongolia, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Nicaragua. The conference is attended by representatives of more than 30 cities of Russia.

The Head of the Main Department of the MIA of Russia in Krasnoyarsk region Police Lieutenant General Alexander Rechitsky, the Head of the Krasnoyarsk Governor's Security Department Sergey Gaponov, the Chief Specialist of Legal Department of the Office of Krasnoyarsk region Commissioner for Human Rights Igor Lapin addressed conference participants with a welcoming speech in the framework of the plenary session.

By videoconferencing good wishes and hope for further fruitful cooperation were expressed by the Advisor of the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Deputy Secretary of the Coordination Council of the Heads of Competent Authorities for Countering the Illicit Drug Trafficking of the CSTO member States, Candidate of legal sciences, Mikhail Melikhov, the First Deputy Head of the Mogilev Institute of the MIA of the Republic of Belarus, Associate professor, Colonel of the militia Yuri Shkaplerov, the Deputy Head of the Academy of the MIA of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Law, Colonel Yuri Shkaplerov, Associate professor, and Colonel Zikrullo Saidzoda, the Deputy Head of the Academy of the MIA of the Republic of Tajikistan for science, Candidate of Law Sciences, Associate professor.

The reports at the plenary session were made by Professor of criminal law and criminology of the Siberian Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Colonel of Police Pavel Teplyashin and Professor of the Department of Criminalistics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Doctor of Law, Professor Lev Bertovsky.

Then the conference continued its work in the format of sections "Problems of improving the professional training of law enforcement officers", "General legal problems of legal regulation and practice of combating crime", "Criminological and criminal legal problems of combating crime", "Procedural support pre-trial and trial in criminal cases", "Actual problems of criminological and forensic activities”.
