Minsk will host a meeting of the Coordination Council of the heads of the competent authorities on countering illicit drug trafficking (CCBCD) of the CSTO member states, which will be attended by the Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO Ara Badalyan. The event will be chaired by the State Secretary - Deputy Minister of the Interior of Russia Igor Zubov. The work of the Coordination Council will be attended by delegations from the competent authorities of the CSTO member states, representatives of the CSTO Secretariat.
One of the main issues discussed by CCBCD members is the state of the dynamics and development of the drug situation in the CSTO member states, as well as the results of the recently completed international anti-drug operation Channel-Western Barrier.
Also, during the meeting, the Committee will review the progress in preparing for the Thunder-2017 tactical and special exercise with anti-drug special forces assigned to the Special Forces of the CSTO CRRF. The exercise is scheduled for September this year. in the suburbs.
A representative of the CSTO Secretariat will provide information on the anti-drug segment of the permanent operation of the CSTO member states on countering crimes in the field of information - “PROXY”.
